These bars open around 7-8 PM and anything goes, - "Dong Khoi street" or "Le Thanh Ton street" offering more complementary bars with great customer services (the "29" and "49" down on Dong Khoi street, or the "Quan Nho" and the "Bin Bin" bars on Le Thanh Ton street #13 with a best girl quality selection), - "Pham Ngu Lao" (along "24th September Park") or "Hoa Binh Park" (on the corner of "Hung Vuong" and "Nguyen Chi Thanh" streets), both current hot spots in the liveliest city offering more freelancers to pick up. There are also plenty massage places in the city, KTV (Karaoke) or taxi girls motorbikes which offer more services. Going rates are about 500k to 1 million VND (US$15) for ST, and 1 to 2 million (US$30) for LT. Because prostitution is illegal, as well as bringing girls into hotels, most hotels (especially those renowned 4 -5 stars hotels) in Vietnam are quite strict and don’t allow their customers bringing extra guests to stay up to 9.00 pm otherwise you have to register them with extra fee (generally US$10 to the receptionist). Location : Small cosy hotel conveniently located right on the Don Koi near shopping, restaurants and entertainment areas. My Superior room with window I booked was large, comfortable, clean, well-appointed with a good selection of TV programs and good Wifi signal. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location : The Ho Sen Hotel is another basic hotel conveniently located in the heart of the city, right next to the notorious Apocalypse Now club, a must-see in Saigon, close to river night markets and walking distance to all city’s main attractions (shopping, restaurants, bars and nightlife). My deluxe room was large, comfortable, clean and comes with decent facilities : bed (typical hard mattress), flat screen TV with cable, bathroom (bath-shower combo), and the internet although there were some connection issues was quite fast. The only drawback was the buffet breakfast, correct but basic, and to be honest, a kind of a first come first serve basis. Overall, with a prime location perfectly set for solo traveler. Location : The Ho Sen Hotel 2 is the sister of Ho Sen Hotel. They are situated adjacent to each other, so the convenience of the city and its attractions are the same. The VIP room I booked trought Agoda was clean, spacious, the bed comfortable and the free internet ok. Fast service however the in room bathtub’s spa massage seems not to be working. With many small restaurants, plenty of massage salons and night life points at proximity, a pretty good choice for those looking for reasonably priced accommodation in the centrer of the city and close to all interesting things in Saigon. Location : Mid-range hotel, in a quiet location, right near the center (on the edge of French colonial Saigon), walking distance to the river, restaurants, bars and actions. Rooms are good size, clean, not as modern as the lobby, but functional with large window and all the necessary amenities. Bathroom was a bit small but everything inside worked fine. 11B Thai Van Lung, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam    Location : Simple, basic and clean rooms for this 3-stars hotel. The premium deluxe room and executive suite at the top floor I booked some time ago has a nice view to the roundabout around Bintan markets. Nothing special here but realy confortable accomodation and easy acces to the Lush, Hai Ba Trung Street (hostess & billiard bars), the Apocalypse Now club and the Shark Disco located at proximity. 19-23 Lam Son Square, District 1 - Dong Khoi / Nguyen Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam    Location : The Caravelle is a good hotel in HCMC, the hotel is conveniently located in the center of Saigon with the Opera house directly opposite to the entrance and walking distance to main shops, river walk and all most of the places that you should see in the city. Rooms are very comfortable and a good size. The hotel facilities are also good with a nice swimming pool area on the 7th Floor including spa and a roof top bar a great place to enjoy a drink or lunch with a lovely view and live music. With the all entertainment straight in proximity to the hotel, the staff friendly, courteous and helpful and the excellent food, a very good address. 17-19-21 Ly Tu Trong Street, District 1 - Japanese Area, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam    Location : The Norfolk Mansion is a hotel with a high level Western-style service (not luxury level, but all what you expected from an apartment hotel); not a really a vietnamese place in HCMC. I stayed 4 nights here and I have to say it was perfect! My apartment was clean, big, and contained everything I needed. The wifi was fast and had no problems connecting. The hotel is also fully equipped with 4 elevators (this was always enough while I was there, I haven’t seen any crowd), gym, sauna, pool, library and billiards. All this plus the excellent hotel location (centrally located in HCMC – easy acces to a lot of parts of the city on foot, multiple clubs, many bars, and plenty restaurants and massage salons nearby), I would recommend highly if you have the budget. 58 Mac Thi Buoi Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam    Location : Small budget hotel in great location straight in the heart of Saigon entertainment areas (think restaurant, bars, beer and hostess bars) and walking distance to Riverfront and all the night activities. The deluxe room with balcony I booked was clean, spacious, well appointed. The balcony was small and had no view but at least it has the merit of existing. The breakfast served on 7th floor bar and restaurant at the top of the hotel was correct but limited. With nightlife nearby all in all a good place to stay. Location : Middle range hotel well located in the Western Quarter near Ben Nghe with many resturants, bars, and massages. It’s also close to shopping and other attractions in District 1, near Dong Khoi Street, the heart of the city’s commercial life, the Saigon’s French colonial architecture (with international brands boutiques, stylish cafes, high-end restaurant), and close to the Fine Arts Museum, the Municipal Theatre and the beautiful General Library of Ho Chi Minh City. Standard rooms are small, deluxe rooms a bit larger. Nothing exceptional or fancy here except the good price and the central location. Dong Khoi street and Hai Ba Trung street (hostess/billiard beer bars entertainment area) are approximately 15 minutes walk and Shark, Apocalypse Now and Lush disco few minutes more. 181 Le Thanh Ton, District 1 - Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam   Location : The Lien An Saigon Hotel 2 is located in District 1 near Ben Thanh Market. You will enjoy position in the shopping, sports and religious interests hub of Ho Chi Minh City. Mariamman Hindu temple is located at proximity and hotel is about 3 to 4 blocks away from Independence Palace. Location : The Cap Town is a modern hotel centrally located few minutes away from the central market and 10 minute walk to the lively backpacker tourist area. Rooms are well laid out, attractive and spacious with medium sized LCD TV, safe, small desk, and modern bathroom. Location : The Signature Saigon is small pleasant hotel typical of a lot of new 3-star hotels in Vietnam : clean, welcoming and reasonably priced. Situated to Bien Tan the hotel is also close to Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Square with many city’s attractions at proximity : Antique Street, the Fine Art Museum and Famous street nearby. 70-72-74 Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1 - Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam    Location : The Thien Tung is a another good base in District 1, short walk to the Ben Thanh market (around 100 meters) and Saigon Square, so in an excellent place to shopping and bargains. Coffee shop on the corner, proximity with Antique Street (Le Cong Kieu), the Fine Arts Museum, Old and Night market (a good places to shop around till eleven o’clock), the hotel is few steps away from numerous city’s attractions. Offering rooms with flat screen TV, sitting spastyle bathtub bathroom, and providing indoor-pool, small gym and traditional asian breakfast, this small hotel is also a good value for money. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comes fully-furnished, kitchen with full equipments too.
