Location : The B P Chiang Mai City Hotel formerly known as the Felix City Inn has the most impressive and palatial entrance lobby with high ceilings, marble and comfortable chairs. The rooms were spacious and clean however this hotel could do with an update as everything is starting to look tired and old. Wat Chedi Luang, Chiang Mai Zoo and Wat Jed Yot 10mn away by car. Location : The Diamond Riverside hotel is welle located on the side of the Charoen Prathet Road opposite the Porn Ping hotel. This is a lovely hotel with a great swimming pool and many facilities that would match any of the bigger hotels. The room are well cleaned and include breakfast for about 700 – 900 baht. Location : The Hotel M Chiang Mai is directly opposite the Thapae Gate in the old city of Chiang Mai. A clean guest friendly hotel with reasonable rated that include breakfast. Location : The Top North Hotel is in the heart of the city near bars and restaurants. The rooms are simple but very clean and I paid just over 1000 bth for a Superior Room quite spacious and rather nice. With a really lovely swimming pool, I also was pleasantly surprised by all the facilities offered. Wat Chiang Man, Wat Phra Singh and Chiang Mai Night Bazaar easy acces by walk. Location : The Raming Lodge is perfect for those looking for nightlife, being in the centre of Chiang Mai it is surrounded by restaurants and bars and just a few minutes walk from the Night Market. The rooms are lovely with complimentary mini bar, coffee, fruit selection and WiFi. There is also a restaurant that is excellent and serves a quality breakfast. Location : Suriwongse Hotel is in the heart of the city just steps away from the Night Bazzar and Walking Street. This is a contemporary Thai style hotel and although it looks tired from the outside, look can be so deceiving! The hotel jas newly decorated and fully equipped rooms and suites that are spacious, clean and comfortable. They offer a good breakfast buffet but there are also plenty of cafes and restuarants nearby should you fancy a change. Location : The Manathai Village is a small boutique hotel set amidst beautiful gardens and offering a high class although small swimming pool, perfect for a quick dip. The room has a comfortable king sized bed with quality linen and really good quality air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and functional with a great selection of complimentary toiletries and super soft towels.
